Launching a design-centric brand, brought to you from the social enterprise start-up Newground Coffee roasters. Power couple Shopify and Recharge were paired to create an experience as powerful as it is pleasing to the eyes.

We worked with our web development in-house team to replatform from Magento to a Headless Commerce Layer-powered experience with prescription flows and product customisation capabilities. Replatforming from Magento to a headless Commerce Layer solution enabled a playful user-experience.


A subscription-first coffee brand that wants to change the world, one coffee at a time. Shopify Plus and Recharge were the backbone of this upgrade from an antiquated monolithic stack to headless powerhouse, to support this young but high growth brand. Recharge powered product builder was the logical approach to guide the user. Breaking down the purchase flow into smaller more-manageable chunks, with useful information along the way.

Our 'Find Your Flow' brand idea represents how our software transforms chaos into calm, streamlining processes for customers. Sophisticated, friendly illustrations show pharmacists 'in flow'. These unique illustrations set our brand apart, making it memorable and joyful.

We used Recharge to power subscriptions. As market leader for Shopify subscriptions it was a no-brainer in delivering a simple yet effective Subscription offering. Furthermore, to remove any potential buying friction, an Amazon Buy button was implemented. The Amazon ecosystem can obviously be a powerful tool, and one that was part of the sales strategy.

When Wild came to us, a lot of the ingredients were there already from a Brand point-of-view, we just had to show them how to use them. This is where our extensive Design system comes in. We revived some retro-inspired (but modern) typography, created a AA compliant colour system and of course harnessed the power of emoji’s! The resulting vibrant and playful Design & UX were particularly important to resonate with their Gen-Z and millennial audiences.
